The room was fashionable and new-fashioned, with a work desk, coffee and tea making facilities, and multi-channel TV. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, I really enjoyed it.

Very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Lovely garden and conservatory. Good breakfast. Easy tram connections to city centre.
Very close to railway so can be quite noisy. No air-con so you need to leave windows open in hot weather.

The breakfast was lovely and excellant, the check in was easy. The room was compact and complete with a jacuzzi, a comfy bed, as example, I had everything needed. Location: the hotel was right by trams to get into the centre of the city, the railway line and the ICC: )

I was upgraded to a functional basic queen room with comfortable beds. The location was great and convenient for Ghent, very close to the railway line, tramway 1, and a 10-minute walk to the station.

Location is good, next to the railway station. Provides parking. Modern and nice rooms with very nice bathroom. Friendly staff, personal touch. Quiet though next to the railway (I had a room facing the railway).
Choice of TV channels is limited but I was told more channels are coming soon. Internet access is OK (paying) but every time you need to enter login and password, no "save" option. A bit annoying, especially for a mobile. For business people or early risers, breakfast starts pretty late: 8:30 on weekends.

Everything. The room was pleasantly appointed, very clean and comfortable. The public areas were very attractive and of quality throughout. The owners and staff were charming and helpful, beyond that experienced anywhere else. In summary, we would use this hotel again if we revised Gent - which is possible as the city's historical quarter and welcoming atmosphere could well tempt us back.
Nothing at all.

We stayed at the Astoria to break our journey from Germany to the Channel Tunnel. This was a lovely hotel which was very thoughtfully decorated and lived up to the good reviews. Easy to get into the centre of Gent by tram - about a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the tram stop. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive and welcoming. It was perfect for an overnight stop or weekend break. We would definately stay here again and Gent was a lovely city and we would love to come back to Gent for a longer visit.
My only thought is that the room might be quite small for a longer stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We pre-advised that we were arriving mid-day and rooms were ready on arrival. Rooms clean, tidy and comfortable with everything working. Large car park. Good breakfast in a very nice breakfast room overlooking the garden. Drinks at bar reasonably priced. Happy to recommend this hotel especially if you are driving.
It is a little way out of the centre but there are close by tram and bus links. We bought the museum pass from the hotel which included transport - excellent value. Although close to the railway there was no train noise disturbance in our room at the back of the hotel. No free wifi.
